Biography

Peter Rothschild is President and co-founder of BioGaia AB (BIOGb.ST, Stockholm Stock Exchange), an innovative Swedish-based biotechnology company and world leader in probiotics. Prior to co-founding BioGaia, Peter held several leading positions in Swedish shipping companies such as Salén AB ( Scandinavia’s largest shipping company) and Cool Carriers, which he co-founded. During that time, he also co-founded an international fruit and vegetable trading company, Perfersh AB, which was traded on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. During the course of his career, Peter has held board positions in numerous companies, such as Diamyd Medical, a Swedish pharmaceutical company focusing on the development of pharmaceuticals for the treatment of diabetes and Mobert Pharma, another pharmaceutical company with a number of products on the OTC-market in the US.
